After training and grooming across the country, Wendy Phelps founded The Paw Spa Luxury Pet Grooming in 2013. Her vision was to create a professional grooming salon where every pet receives patient, compassionate, and highly skilled care.
With more than 33 years of professional grooming experience, Wendy specializes in AKC breed-standard grooming, customized pet trims, Asian Fusion styling, and creative grooming. She has also trained many successful groomers and remains passionate about sharing her knowledge with the next generation.
Today, our team continues that vision by placing quality before quantity. Most appointments take approximately two to four hours. Timing depends on your pet’s size, coat condition, temperament, and requested services.
Can I Stay With My Pet During Grooming?
For the safety and comfort of every pet, owners are not permitted to stay during the grooming process. Most pets remain calmer and safer when separated from their owners.
What Happens if My Pet Is Matted?
We will always recommend the safest and most humane option. Severe matting can cause discomfort and skin damage, so removing the matted coat may be the kindest approach. We will discuss the best plan with you before proceeding.
Do You Groom Puppies?
Yes! Our puppy introduction grooming service creates a gentle, positive first experience. Early introductions can help puppies become more comfortable with grooming and develop good lifelong habits.

What Should I Do if I Need to Cancel?

Will My Pet Be Kenneled?
Pets are kenneled only when necessary and are monitored throughout their visit. We aim to maintain a calm environment while minimizing unnecessary wait times.
